1. A foundational focus for those who are new to home funerals with detailed information for how to provide after-death care
2. An advanced focus and discussion for practicing home funeral guides about problems experienced with home funerals and discussion of various solutions
3. An industry specific focus for Funeral Directors who are becoming involved with the home funeral movement to explore how their roles and services will differ when serving home funeral families

Peaceful Death: Music, Hospice and Home Funerals
Schroeder-Sheker is the founder of the palliative medical field of Music Thanatology, uniting music and medicine in end-of-life care – and founder of The Chalice of Repose Project. The conference will be all day on both Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24. This will be a gathering of those passionate about educating families about end-of-life choices, including home and green funerals. The event will feature workshops and seminars on end-of-life topics. Joshua Slocum, co-author of FINAL RIGHTS: Reclaiming the American Way of Death will be there to answer questions about his new book.
