Patricia Mary WillburnApril 06, 1935 - February 23, 2010
Pat Willburn, my grandma, was hobo bread and spaghetti with meatballs. She was born in Alamosa, CO to Fil and Mary Catalino on April 6, 1935. She was one of six children: five sisters and one brother. She is survived by brother, Mike Catalino and sister, Rosie Soward. She was the mother of Sharon (and Bob) Johnston, Jim Willburn, John (and Catina) Willburn and Mary (and Mike) Bomer. She is the grandmother to Joshua (and Joy) Johnston, Tony Johnston, Lindsey Bomer, Jacob Bomer, Angelia Willburn and Alexa Willburn. She came to Seattle in the 1960’s and settled in the Greenlake area and raised her family. She was supported by the Greenlake United Methodist Church community and made many life-long friends. She was a member since the 1960’s and held many volunteer positions within the church. She held many sales and administrative positions throughout her life. She worked for JC Penney as a sales representative and later for Industrial Plating as an administrative assistant before retiring in the 1990’s. Her greatest love, as it is for most of us, was her family. While not being born to much she knew how to make a lot out of a little and was embracing of everyone. She gave more than she had and was a generous soul. Always excited about a large Italian family dinner with as many people as could fit around a table, she loved providing food in abundance. We will always remember her by her generosity and positive life approach. Her first words to anyone that entered her home was, “Are you hungry? Have you eaten?” She treasured each member of her family and will be missed.
