Alice Eileen Hewitt
September 23, 1930 - September 23, 2009
Strong, spunky and bright spirit Alice passed away peacefully the morning of September 23rd, on her 79th birthday, in Kent, Washington. Born in Bellevue, Idaho to Frank and Alta Hewitt on September 23, 1930. Alice served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954 as a sailor in the Air Transport Squadron ONE NAS stationed at Patuxent, Maryland. Although small in stature, she was mighty in spirit.
Alice mothered two sons, Greg Mittlrsdorf of Santa Ana, California and Steve Mittlrsdorf of Fountain Valley, California. Beyond her work in the home raising her two sons, she was also trained and practiced as a beauty operator.
In her final years she was lovingly cared for by Pam Scrieciu of Meadow Green Adult Family Home in Kent, Washington. She will be dearly missed by Pam and all the residents of Meadow Green. Alice was a strong, spunky and bright spirit who will always be in the hearts of her family and friends.
Funeral Information
Alice was buried at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington Thursday September 24, 2009. The location of her grave at Tahoma National Cemetery is Section 28A Site 845.
