Shelli Dawn (Williams) Ward

April 29, 1965 - May 16, 2016

Shelli Dawn Ward, age 51, of Everett, Washington, passed away on Monday, May 16th at the home of Bill and Tracey Rodrigue, where she lived the last 9 months of her courageous battle with Leukemia. She was the beloved mother of Alex Ward, age 18, also of Everett, WA.

In addition to her son Alex, Shelli had a large family that loved her contagious laughter, and indomitable spirit. She was survived by her mother, Clara Ford, and her father Monte Williams. Shelli had 3 sisters, Tracey, Becky, and Monica. One brother Tyler and a step brother Dan. Shelli also is survived by 6 nephews, 1 great nephew, 1 niece and 1 great niece as well as numerous Aunts and Uncles, and over 35 cousins!. Shelli had so many wonderful friends who were part of her support team as they were part of her life, including her boyfriend of many years, Dean, Van Vleet. Shelli was loved by many and was truly blessed.

Shelli was born in Port Angeles, WA on April 29th, 1965. She graduated from Port Angeles Senior High school in 1983, and then she attended the International School of Travel. Shelli then worked at Horizon Air, Continental Airlines, and Metropolitan Travel. She had a short stint as a Real Estate professional with ZipRealty, but travel was her true passion and she returned to work for Expedia as a VIP travel consultant . Expedia appreciated all that Shelli had to offer in her skills as well as her humor. When she became ill supported her the entire time, including helping to send her to her first Seahawks game, which had long been on her bucket list.

Shelli was an incredible person who loved to travel and enjoy life. She truly lit up the life of anyone she came in contact with, including the medical staff who helped her the last 3 years at University of Washington and at Seattle Cancer Care. Her presence here on earth will be missed.

This fund will support cancer patients that for various reasons do not have the loving support of a "Team Shelli" as Shelli did.
