John Garfield Schoales

December 16, 1942 – May 10, 2020

This memorial is in memory of our father, John Garfield Schoales, who left our lives May 10, 2020. Born December 16, 1942 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - Passed May 10, 2020 in Everett, WA, USA.

John touched many lives through his 77-year journey through life. He left behind his loving mother, three sons, two sisters, nine grandchildren, and more relatives, neighbors and great friends than can be counted.

Our dad had such a passion for cars, guns, fine collectibles, enjoying life and the relationships he had with those closest to him. More than anyone we knew, dad had a way of spending time with someone, sometimes briefly, but leaving a great impression on them that could last a lifetime. His stories & life experiences, told so well, that you could see the images unfold in front of you, were exciting, uplifting, and inspiring.

John was a great man, loved by many. A long career as a commercial driver and time spent in law enforcement highlight two passions in his life, motor vehicles and firearms!!! Those that knew our dad best, knew that many conversations with him gravitated around these two subjects. He was a proud father that loved and supported his three sons and gave them the freedom to pursue their lifelong ambitions. He survived his wife and best friend, Karen Schoales, for just over a year after her passing.  He will be missed immensely by all.

It is the hope of his entire family, especially his three sons Jim, Jasen & Jon that his loved ones can commemorate and honor his life on this memorial website, with prayers, stories, memories & photos.

Thank you in advance for your prayers and encouragement to our family through your words in these difficult times.

Quietly remembered every day …

No longer in our life to share,

But in our hearts, you’re always there.”
