Patricia Ann Howes, 89 years old, passed over peacefully on October 22, 2021 in Everett, Washington.
Patricia (Pat) was born on September 3, 1932. She was the 6th child born of 7 to the late Mary Emma and William Earl McHarness of Spokane WA.
The family moved to Seattle in her childhood, and she graduated from West Seattle High School.
She married Sidney Ray Howes and lived in Everett while raising their 6 children: Curtis, Deborah, Susan, Carol, Pattie and Mark. She was a natural parent and found much joy raising her children and grandchildren.
Through her years, she worked at Boeing and Target, but found her career working as a dental assistant for over 30 years. She knew her way around the dental office, working everything from the front desk to patient care. Her kind heart and gentle demeanor helped her patients feel at ease.
Pat loved to knit and crochet. Their home was decorated with handmade doilies, potholders, wash clothes (some of which we still use!) and delicate tablecloths. Her grandchildren all had their special knitted slippers with the pom-poms on top.
Her zest for life and sense of humor made her a stand-out Seahawks fan. Adorning herself in her fanfare and holding season tickets was one of her life’s highlights.
She loved taking one of her kids or grandkids to the games, losing herself in the excitement and yelling at the coach and players if they scored a touch-down or if she thought the play was bad! If she wasn’t at a home game, you would find her in front of the TV cheering on her team.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband Sid, daughter Pattie and grandson Brandon.
Her surviving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends, will greatly miss her, finding peace in her final words, "Don’t worry, I'll be OK"...
