A Message from Char

This is a full circle moment for me as I return to the funeral home where I began my journey nearly twenty years ago, Cady Cremation Services & Funeral Home.

A lot has changed in funeral service, a great deal of it for the better, and I’d like to think I had something to do with that. The values and goals I brought to A Sacred Moment more than seventeen years ago are still as vibrant and necessary as they were when I began my business after apprenticing with Steve Cady at Cady Cremation Services & Funeral Home.

As I close one chapter, I open another. I want to do my part to continue bringing environmental awareness to funeral service, as well as help empowering families to gain greater knowledge of their choices as they say goodbye in ways most meaningful to them.

My deep bench experience in educating and delivering alternative funeral options, including green burials, home funerals, aquamation, and natural organic reduction, will add an environmental dimension to Cady’s offerings, and for that I am truly grateful.

I’m especially delighted be able to keep supporting families who want these options by coming alongside and supporting my mentor and friend who gave me my start in the funeral business.

Thanks to all of you who have been so essential to the success of A Sacred Moment. And here’s to new beginnings—
