Philip J. Roeder

August 14, 1940 - December 31, 2020

Philip J. Roeder, 80, passed away on December 31st, 2020, at Providence Medical Center in Everett, Washington, after a brief illness. He was born on August 14th, 1940, in Milan, Ohio, to William Roeder and Mary Schaefer Roeder.

Philip graduated from Sandusky High School in 1959 and later married Darlene Heiberger Roeder. Philip excelled as a loftsman building ships, carpenter, real estate investor, cattleman, and was a brave and successful entrepreneur. He was adventurous, daring, clever and had a great appreciation for art, music, and all things extraordinary. If you engaged him in a philosophical discussion, it would often include dreams for his family and his wishes for mankind. He was the guardian of his family which he protected fearlessly. He was courageous when faced with adversity and new challenges and set the pace in quests for a better life. He has made an indelible impression on those who knew him and will be missed beyond measure.

He loved to explore new territory and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He was an avid collector who appreciated fine craftsmanship. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and the NAWCC, American Watch & Clock Collectors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Golasz. Surviving in addition to his wife Darlene Heiberger Roeder are his sons Matthew Roeder and Brad Roeder and his wife Terra Roeder; daughters Lisa Roeder and her companion Patric Quinones, and Michelle Roeder Roskilly; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers Jim Roeder and Dan Roeder and sisters Mary Ann Hallo and Judi Curtis.

Due to the pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later time.
