Lois Claire WaiteApril 01, 1928 - December 05, 2015 One Of The Kindest SoulsLois Waite passed away quietly in her sleep from Leukemia 9 years after the death of her husband for 56 years Mel. She is survived by her children Stephen (Renee), Jim (Margie), David (Elizabeth), Sherri (Dirk) and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Mel traveled the United States multiple times in their RV. Fished point no point (mom holds the family record for largest fish caught - 42 pound king.) and clammed the Pacific Coast beaches of Washington State. She and Mel claimed multiple awards for horseshoe contests. Lois was a skilled seamstress creating costumes for go go dancers, cheerleader outfits for multiple High Schools, children's clothes, wedding dresses, bridesmaid's dresses, stocking hats for the troops in Afghanistan, lap quilts and pillows for hospice. A skilled quilter she also taught quilting classes for Northwest Indian College. Everyone she met loved and enjoyed her, truly one of the kindest souls one would ever meet. She was everyone's second mom or in some cases the mom people who met her never had. She was always willing to volunteer especially when it involved kids. She so enjoyed her friends from the Cascadian, Garden Court and Windsor Square. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but always remembered for her kind, generous and inclusive heart.
