Will Always Be Remembered

Danyelle Claudia Potts of Stanwood was born in Seattle on January 15, 1977 and left us peacefully on November 14, 2015.

We remember Danyelle for her great gifts: friendships, persevering determination, being ever compassionate for those less fortunate, her humor and consistent ability to find a way to cope in the face of adversity. These are lingering gifts to all of us who knew her.
Danyelle will be greatly missed, especially by Soundview group home family, siblings Carley A. Potts (Mountlake Terrace) and Bryan J. Potts (Diana Arntz, Boston), her father, James B. Potts (Seattle), mother Dolores (Lori) Bulger (Lynnwood), grandmother Geraldine P. Bulger (Greenfield, WI) and her many cousins, aunts, uncles, co-workers and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather William P Bulger (Milwaukee WI) and grandmother Claudia Potts (Seattle WA).
Given several complicated disabilities, Danyelle had a beautiful life thanks to extraordinary love and care from residential living staff at Soundview Association in Stanwood and Mount Vernon. Staff enriched Danyelle's daily life for 20 years with friendships, community access outings, home-cooked meals, wheelchair transportation to work, excellent bedside care and so much more.

Danyelle is remembered at special-education programs (Edmonds, Spokane Valley, Mount Vernon (1998 high school graduate), Chinook Enterprises, Mount Vernon (1998-present) and Special Olympics Mountlake Terrace Recreation. She made "music" with Village Community Services in Arlington, swam at the YMCA and attended Eagles Wings functions in Marysville. Danyelle loved crafts, fashion, boys, painting, cooking, music, dancing, watching sports and, while growing up, beach-combing, boating, biking and camping.

Funeral Information

Memorial: Saturday, December 5, 2015. Celebration of Life 10 AM-1 PM following 9 AM daily Mass at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church 26900 78th Ave NW, Stanwood WA 98292
