Bobette Irene SheafferOctober 24, 1946 - July 03, 2014 She Brought Happiness to All who Knew HerBobette Irene Sheaffer was born on October 24, 1946, in Sonora, California, to Robert and Vivian Madill. She was a 50-year resident of Washington, and lived in Bothell for 35 years. On 07/07/77, Bobette married the love of her life, her husband, John Sheaffer. Bobette and John were married for 37 years, and they truly were soulmates. Bobette was continually dressed to the nines, and always looked beautiful. She could bring a smile to everyone's face and happiness to all those around her. Bobette was an incredible mother, adored by her children, Danette and Timothy. She was always there for them, without fail, to offer her love, guidance, and support. She truly was their best friend. Bobette was a wonderful grandmother, who treated her grandchildren as if they were her own children, and she enjoyed many special moments with them. Her great-grandsons, Dylan and Braedyn, were the light of her life, and she was their special GiGi. She was an avid gardener, painter, artisan, and seamstress. Bobette was a member of the Ladies Bowling Team for many years at Brunswick-Majestic Lanes in Lynnwood. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bowling, bingo, and knitting, among many other talents and interests. Bobette was an amazingly skilled artist, and through her paintings, was always able to manifest her vision. She will be remembered for her laughter, nurturing ways, and excellent cooking. Her family will always picture her in the garden, tending to her thriving plants. Bobette was a great protector, constantly caring for those she loved, especially her husband and children. She was everyone's friend and made all feel welcome. Bobette always gave to those in need, without ever thinking of herself first. You knew your secrets were safe with her, and she was always ready with a listening ear and just the right advice. She passed away on July 3, 2014, in Edmonds, Washington, after a long illness. Bobette is survived by her husband of 37 years, John; daughter, Danette; son, Timothy; stepchildren Teresa (Terry), Mike (Colleen), and Laurie (Mike); sisters Randee (Bill), Melody, Patty (Ed), Jacque (Fred), and Barbie (Clark); brothers Michael and Lonnie (Sherry); grandchildren Mishayla, Ambrosia, Amanda, Breanna, Zachary, Kailie, John, Justin, Jeffrey, Ryan, Brielle, Alyson, Lyndsey, Bennie, and Kyle; great-grandchildren Dylan and Braedyn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members. Bobette is also survived by her very dear and best friends Jeannie, Cathy, and Nancy, whom she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her brother Terrance, her parents, and her step-daughter Linda. Bobette will be greatly missed, and fondly remembered always. Funeral InformationServices will be held at Unity Church in Lynnwood, on Thursday, July 17th, at noon (private family viewing preceding). A graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Snohomish. Then, a celebration of Bobette's life and reception will be held at May's Pond Clubhouse in Bothell.
