Nona Mae Fosso

When Soft Voices Silence, It Vibrates In The Memory

Nona Mae Fosso age 94 passed away August 19, 2015 at A Loving Heart in Bothell, WA. Where she had been living and cared for, for the last three years.

Nona, the daughter of Levis and Ethel Bune was born and raised in Wisconsin. She went to St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota where she met Paul Fosso,the love of her life. Nona and Paul were married for over 60 years where they lived and raised their family.

Nona was the first soprano of the St. Olaf Choir that toured Europe, well known for their talent and beautiful voices. Nona was an accomplished pianist and vocalist as well as a teacher of piano and voice. Nona and Paul played the most amazing piano duets.

Nona had a passion for helping young children and became a speech and hearing therapist for the Seattle Public Schools and where she had the ability to help so many children.

Nona and Paul had a great love for travel. They both enjoyed many trips to Europe including Norway and Sweden to visit family which they enjoyed so much.

Nona is survived by her daughter Kristi Aubert, her brother Bob Bune, brother-in-law Don Fosso, daughter-in law Sara St. John, granddaughters Taryn Prevette, Britt Hoffman, Karlyn Bennett, Samantha St. John. Also, great grandchildren Casey, Steven, Emma and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Fosso, daughter Alalie Bennett, and son Jim St. John (Fosso).

Nona is now laid to rest next to her husband Paul Fosso at Floral Hills Cemetery 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA.

Her beautiful smile and captivating laugh will always be remembered.
