Groundbreaking network engineer and horseman is home with the Lord
Ronald C. Crofford, 66, of Port Orchard, Washington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Ron was hospitalized at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Ron was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and grew up in Boise, Idaho. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, son, Steven, daughter-in-law, Julie, beloved granddaughter, Kaitlyn, parents Loretta and Dwight, and brother, Gerald.
Ron proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army Special Forces and was honorably discharged. He worked all his adult life as an IT Engineer, ending his career at Ricoh/IKON. Although he was unable to do so the last several years, he loved being out of doors, especially riding and training his two Arabian horses.
A celebration of his life will be held at Mill Creek Foursquare Church in Lynnwood, Washington on Saturday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m. A reception will be held at the church following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Ron to Mill Creek Foursquare Church, 1415 164th Street SW, Lynnwood, Washington 98087, or to the American Heart Association, 710 2nd Ave, Suite 900, Seattle, Washington 98104.
