Lois Nadine Harter

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend

Lois N. (McGladrey) Harter, 87 passed away at Providence Hospital, Everett, WA with family by her side.  She was born Sept 22nd 1929 in Mukilteo, WA to Robert P. & Erma (Roark) McGladrey. She married Joseph L. Harter Oct 3, 1947 in Arlington, WA and they had two daughters.  They lived all their lives in the Stanwood area.

After marriage Lois worked several years for Cecil Vanderpool CPA.  In 1959 she went to work for the Stanwood School District as a secretary at the Elementary School.  She worked for the Stanwood School District for 29 years before retiring in 1988. 

Lois is survived by daughters Diane Lacy and Carol (Walt) Bosse.  Grandchildren: Crystal Bosse (Charles Masters), Thad (Lyndsey) Bosse, Candace (Ibad) Siddiqui, Allen (Michelle) Smith.  Great-Grandchildren:  Bryce, Chandler, Sofia Bosse and Meriam Siddiqui.  She is also survived by a brother Robert E. McGladrey (Fini), Sister-in-law Gertrude Hammons, Brother-in-law Russell Harter and many nieces and nephews. 

Lois was proceeded in death by husband Joe, her parents, Son-in-law John Lacy and Great-Granddaughter Kimberly Smith.  The family appreciates the support of Doug Herbig, Sudip Ray, Sharon Raider and Karen & Dan Castano, Providence Hospital especially the Palliative Care Team and special neighbors. 


 

FUNERAL INFORMATION

There will be a celebration of life at the Bonnie Cole Building at the Stanwood-Camano Fair Grounds Sunday June 25th from 1-4pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  Cremation handled by A Sacred Moment, Everett, WA.
