Jammer (James) Gifford
March 23, 1959 - April 30, 2011

We invite family and friends to sign the guestbook

I am so thankful for the pictures that were psted here. I had not seen Jammer in quite a long time. I am so glad to see that he still carried the same wonderful spirit within himself. Heaven gained another amazing angel and I know that there was quite a welcoming party for him. I am keeping his daughters and family in my prayers and pray for recovery for his wife. Though we have never met, I pray that with Jammers help, God will grace you with healing and light. God Bless, Suzanne

I had the honor of being one of Jammer's Oncology nurses. I have been caring for cancer patients for 25 years and Jammer was truly one on a kind. He had such a great smile and kind heart. He was brave in his battle with cancer and wanted so badly to live. He spoke often of his love of family and friends. I know that he is watching over us all.

Jammer was a very special friend indeed, I was lucky enough to have known you for over 25 years. We shared some of the best times, and a few not so great of times. I would not trade a second of any of it. I'm stilling saying "Hail Mary's" over the time we had to have you airlifted to the hospital from the church retreat center when you fell and hit your head. You were an awesome singer, musician and song writer. It was an honor to share the stage with you. You will be deeply, deeply missed, but never forgotten. I was so proud of the way you had turned your life around and conquered your demons. A very big thank you to the special friend who helped you through that time. Until we meet again my brother.

Lovely poem, very fitting. Although it has been years since I seen him - I remember his BIG smile. Glad you are now out of pain, glad that I will see you again someday. :)

I was very fortunate to get to know and love jammer as a good friend, as a band member in Shady Character and many years of playing music togeather and just hanging out. He taught me a lot of life lessons and always treated me like family. I looked at him as a brother and best friend. I love you bro...i will see ya later on

Jammer I remember like it was yesterday when you got the name Jammer, at Rick Newhalls house. He had a barn and we all called it the Jam room and people would ask me where is your brother and I would say jammin at Newhalls and Ray or who ever would laugh and say the jammer, he's always jammin, thus the name you loved (JAMMER) would stick and take you from Jimmy to The Jammer for All for those who don't know how he got the name. I am happy I was able to spend some time with you during your last couple years, we had taken diffrent roads in our lives and we met up at the finish line and I'm so thankfull to have spent some time with you it was really nice. I still have messages on my phone from you and I listen to them, it makes me think you are still here. I know you are going to miss your family and all your girls but they are strong and will be fine till you see them again some day, Have a wonderful journey and know you will be missed by all of us. Love you Spifford

I love and miss you every single day, Jammer. You were the best stepfather anyone could ever hope for or ask for. You will always have a very special place in my heart. I know I'll get to see you again one day...

I miss you so much, Dad, everyday. I still can't believe you are no longer here, but know you are still around, however that may be. It's hard to face the fact that I no longer have a living father, but I'm fortunate to have had 26 years with you, and so glad you had the time you had with your grandbabies. I love you, Daddy.
