Theresa Anna Campagna

Theresa Anna Campagna passed away peacefully on June 12, 2010 with her children by her side. She was born April 7, 1931 in Twin Lakes Michigan to Alexander & Margaret Mezo. She lived in the Detroit area before moving to Western Michigan where she met her husband Carmen Campagna. They were married on April 3, 1948, and moved to the Seattle area in 1953 settling in Mountlake Terrace where they raised their family of 5 children. Theresa was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, S. Al Wilcox Post 234, where she was a lifetime member. She held several leadership positions and volunteered many hours with the Auxiliary and with Eight & Forty. Theresa also spent many hours at Bethesda Lutheran Church organizing the social hour after Church service and providing flowers from her garden for the alter. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed cooking, reading, and entertaining. She introduced her grandchildren to Theater and music, taking them to plays and concerts. She also spent many hours attending concerts her grandchildren performed in. Another of her passions was travelling which she did extensively, travelling throughout the United States and Europe with friends and family. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Carmen Campagna, daughter Cathleen Smart, son Steven Campagna, parents Alexander and Margaret Mezo, and sister Margaret Peterson. She is survived by sons David (Debbie) Campagna, Robert (Sherry) Campagna, daughter Carolyn (Larry) LaFave, and daughter-in-law Gail Campagna. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Information

A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held Thursday, June 24th, 1:00 pm at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 23406 56th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace. A reception will follow.
