Joseph William Lubach

Joe Lubach went to be with GOD on Sunday, November 21, 2010.

He was born on December 1, 1952 in Everett, WA. He grew up in Snohomish, WA, and attended local schools, graduating from Snohomish High School in 1971. Joe's Uncle Jim sponsored Joe to become a Merchant Marine and Joe attended the Harry Lundeberg Seamanship School in Piney Point, MD, graduating with a career as a Messman/Baker/Assistant Cook. Joe traveled all over the world for about 25 years as a merchant marine, working and visiting places such as Africa, India, Russia and the Far East, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japanese ports. Then Joe said he was tired of traveling and for the next 10 years, Joe found work in various small Snohomish County restaurants, working as a cook, bartender, etc. Next Joe decided to try another career and attended refresher courses with the Goodwill Training Program in Seattle and worked fro 3 years as a warehouse person at the Lynnwood Goodwill Store.

Joe loved to fish, take pictures, and play darts, as well as entering and winning dart tournaments. His hobbies included collecting T-shirts and mugs from places he visited, as well as collecting memorabilia from the local sports teams.

Joe leaves behind his mother, Ann Lubach, Seattle, WA; his sister, Janet Lubach, Lynnwood, WA; his aunt, Gretel Chybiorz, and cousin, Peter Chybiorz of Dohren, Germany, various cousins in King, Island, and Snohomish County, extended family: Bonnie Petersen Family, Everett, WA, and many good friends.

Joe Lubach's family wishes to acknowledge and thank the Providence Regional Medical Center, especially the doctors and nurses of both Critical Care Unit and the Cardiac Unit, for all their wonderful care of Joe.

Funeral Information

At Joe's request, he will be cremated and there will be no formal service, but his family is holding a celebration of his life. It will take place on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 2-5 PM at the Meadow III Apartments, in the Community Hall area, (across from the Boys & Girls Club in North Everett). Joe's family wants everyone who knew Joe to come and share their stories of their times with Joe. Joe had a big heart and cared very much for his family and friends.
